Un hommage national a été rendu à l’ancien Président de l’Assemblée nationale et ex Président par intérim décédé dans la nuit du 29 au 30 juin dernier. La cérémonie est présidé ce 06 juillet par le Chef de l’Etat, Faure Gnassingbé entouré de la Cheffe du gouvernement Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé et Présidente de l’Assemblée nationale, Yawa Tsègan.
Pour celle qui dirige l’Assemblée actuellement, « la vie d’Abass Bonfoh était d’une douce clarté matinale, d’une simplicité homérique et d’une certaine mesure ». C’est ainsi que Yawa Tsègan a rendu un dernier hommage public à l’illustre disparu qui a dirigé le Parlement de 2005 à 2013.
De son côté, Faure Gnassingbé s’est incliné devant la mémoire d’un patriote dont il a salué son dévouement à la République. « Au nom du peuple togolais, du Gouvernement Togolais et en mon nom propre, je réitère à sa famille mes condoléances les plus attristées », a ajouté le Chef de l’Etat.
Par ailleurs, le Président de la République se déplace jeudi 08 août également à Kabou, village natal d’Abass Bonfoh pour assister aux obsèques.
